Frozen embryos from IVF treatment need not be discarded after husband’s death! 

In Singapore and some countries in Asia, frozen embryos have to be discarded after the death of either spouse. Recently in Philippines, Third Guidelines on the Ethics and Practice of Assisted Reproductive Technology and Intra-Uterine Insemination allows the widow to use frozen embryo after a 6 month grief period if she desire to use the frozen embryos to have her deceased husband’s child.
