Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure that entails preparing sperm sample using a sperm enhancement procedure and inserting the prepared sperm into the uterus close to the time of ovulation. This is usually used as a first line treatment before embarking on other more advanced assisted conception technologies.
This process is mainly painless, though it is not uncommon to experience mild cramping post-procedure. The entire process generally takes approximately 15 minutes.
