Sperm, Egg and Embryo Cryopreservation

Cryopreservation is the process of freezing sperm, egg or embryos to sub-zero temperature. When needed, they are warmed for use in a fertility treatment cycle.

Sperm Cryopreservation

Sperm freezing services are available for men undergoing surgical sperm retrieval, those with poor sperm count who may need a back-up sample stored, or in cases where the man may not be available at the time of egg retrieval.

Patients who are diagnosed with medical conditions that adversely affect male fertility may also choose to store their samples before undergoing treatment.

Egg Cryopreservation
Women aged 21 to 37 regardless of their marital status can freeze their eggs to preserve fertility.

Women who undergo elective egg freezing and choose to use their eggs later on may do so only within the confines of marriage.

Embryo Cryopreservation
Embryo freezing or embryo cryopreservation is often used to store good quality excess embryos resulting from an In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment cycle.
